Dance and Leadership!
Hailey is a trained dancer with many years’ experience learning proper technique, symmetry, choreography, and music balance. I have been privileged to watch her grow into the talented young woman she is today.
A self-disciplined learner, Hailey’s academic studies have always come first. I know that has been a major factor in the making of person she is today. She understands the quality of education, and her tenacity to set real-life objectives leading toward an end goal is commendable. I am talking about college, business concern, the arts, and civic-mindedness – that is the true Hailey.
Her work ethic is extremely high, and her ability to lead is also a key area that can’t be overlooked. She was tutored early on in her career as a student instructor at Crickets Dance.
Hailey assumed the leadership responsibility of instructing entire classes as well as designing choreography pieces and entire dance routines and solos. She understands the stage and performance arts. She knows how to lead, and how to describe and perform steps in a manner that is understandable and concise. Her students adored her and still do. She continues to be a technical asset to the local dance community.
Hailey has assumed a number of leadership roles, having served as both the Junior and Senior Co Caption, as well as being voted by her classmates, Home Coming Queen. She is fully committed to helping others and often volunteers her time in the community. Anything this young woman puts her mind to, she is committed to finishing.
When she isn’t busy studying, she performs and teaches dance locally, and has many dance accomplishments and awards to her own credit. A member of the Grand County Devilettes Drill team, for the past two years she has held a top leadership position. She balances out her busy schedule with sporting events and church functions. She is a well-rounded and gifted individual.
Hailey has a remarkable way of leading that makes others want to work with her and for her. She has led small to medium size dance groups for the past 4 to 5 years. She also works with young inspiring dancers on a one-to-one basis for training in technique and solo instruction. She has been known to teach others who don’t have the funds to pay for individual dance instruction themselves. But Hailey has a passion for humanity and it shows through her love of dance and teaching. To Hailey, she is simply passing along a legacy.
When it comes to having someone around to help with administrative functions, rounding up dancers, fixing hair, posting to websites, and my traveling buddy, Tay Tay is Queen of the land! She also rides the roller coasters at Lagoon with me.
Tay would be the first to tell you, she didn’t want to dance or do cheerleading. If you grow up around it – you are not escaping. We had fun!
From learning that she had a voice and that she could cheer, to competing at Cheersport and freaking out over the ESPN camera’s – she’s come a long way! Four years of high school cheerleading and following Crickets Dance around has produced a multi-talented leader.
She has a knack for keeping the conversation light when things go “oopsie”.
In cheerleading, she has a true heart of a cheerleader. She knows the meaning of team and was voted captain by her Colorado team mates. She cared!
Tay Tay has a desire to teach kindergarten and worked as an intern during her high school years. As she was walking across the graduation stage and they announced that she wanted to teach, her instructors greeted her as she was exiting the stage. They shook her hand and told her to contact them when she graduated. A true heart of a teacher – she was beaming with the knowledge that her dreams were also recognized by others in the teaching profession.
I’ve watched Taylor grow into a lovely young woman. She will make an exceptional teacher and cheer coach.
Children flock to her and remember her name!
Dance and Leadership.
Bailey was always fun to watch in dance class. She had to perfect everything she did and still does. If she didn’t feel she had a move down, she would go home and practice until it was “done”! Were talking areal’s too! I watched her grow from a young dancer who was very much into hip-hop, into a polish and refined contemporary jazz dancers. She could rock it on the dance floor then, and she does.
A very charming and kind dancer, when she would lead the class for me, the students were attentive and enjoyed her good nature. The number of students who followed her, and sought out her style of dance was insane. She was able to create a number of her dancers and help with class routines and soloists.
Workings with Bailey was a joy. A comedian in her spare time. If someone was down, she was always there to help cheer them up.
College-bound she will undoubtedly be as technically detailed in her studies as she is on the dance floor. When she brings it – she brings it all.
